Jane F. (Franz) Breton, 79, of Mattapoisett died Wednesday September 2, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Real R. Breton.
Born in New Britain, CT, she lived in Mattapoisett for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
In her earlier years, Mrs. Breton worked at the Wareham Savings Bank.
She was a longtime member and Past President of the Mattapoisett Women's Club. She had been an active volunteer for F.I.S.H. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include three children, Peter Breton and his wife Gail of Coral Springs, FL, Mark Breton and his wife Susan of Acushnet, and Mary Beth Amirault and her husband David of Lakeville; and seven grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Blair, Erin, and Ashlee Breton, and Juliann and Madison Amirault.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett.
