Obituary

SALEM- Mildred R. (Andrews) Lipsett, 88, wife of the late Wallace C. Lipsett, formerly of Salem, died Monday evening, August 11, 2003, in a local nursing home following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Percy L. and Bertha M. (Kimball) Andrews. A graduate of Salem High School in 1933, she was a member of the former Lafayette Street United Methodist Church and the Wesley United Methodist Church, Salem. She was a resident of Salem for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement in 1978, she was employed for many years at Salem Hospital as Licensed Practical Nurse.

Mrs Lipsett was survived by two sons, Wallace A. “Skip” Lipsett of Salem, James K. and his wife Gail Lipsett of Newton, New Hampshire, three grandchildren, Robert Lipsett of San Clemente, CA, Dr. Pamela Lipsett of Owens Mills, MD, Gail and her husband Keith Leuchars of Lynn, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Millicent A. Lipsett and sister of the late Warren H. Andrews, Wayne L. Andrews, Henry L. Andrews, Priscilla Andrews and Louise Andrews.

At her request, funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hospice of The North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
