GLOUCESTER: Faith Margo Bickerton, 67, of Sheedy Park, died unexpectedly late Saturday night, August 29, 2009 in Beverly Hospital.
Born in Worcester on January 31, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Viano (Koski) Bickerton. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1961.
She was employed by Gorton’s of Gloucester for forty years, having retired in 2004. She was a member the 25 Year Club.
Faith was a very kind and loving person, who enjoyed music and photography. She could often be found taking pictures at family gatherings. She was an avid traveler, having visited California, Europe, Finland, Iceland, Hawaii and many other wonderful locations.
She is survived by two sisters, Joanne E. and her husband, David “Pat” Maranhas of Magnolia, Katherine J. Feener Washburn of New Hampshire and a brother David J. Bickerton of Maine, two nephews, David F. and Michael J. Maranhas, a niece Amy E. Shelton all of California, a great-niece, Natasha E. Maranhas, a great-nephew, Thomas C. Shelton both of California and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Winslow C. Feener and the Rev. Malcolm E. Washburn.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday morning in the Trinity Congregational Church, 70 Middle Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in the Locust Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
