Rodney Lucian Black, 60, Clarksville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Tim Stepp officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Aug. 21, 1949, in Montgomery County, son of the late Lucian Black. He was a Baptist and a carpenter of Buck Construction Company. He is survived by his mother Laverne Puckett Black of Clarksville, former wife Elizabeth Scott Black of Clarksville, one son Bryant(Violet) Black of Clarksville, one daughter Tina Schantz of Clarksville, one brother Randy Black of Palmyra and two grandsons Cody and Brandon Black both of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Rusty Hogue, Les Scott, Cody Black, Roy Seymour, Dale Schantz, Frank Frazier and Brandon Black. Memorial can be made to Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expense.
