George R. Turner, 69

George R. Turner, 69, of Norton formerly of Middleboro passed away on Saturday 29, 2009 at the Medina General Hospital in Medina, Ohio.
Born in Middleboro, MA June 24, 1940 he was a son of the late Russell J. and Sarah J. (Levis) Turner.
George grew up in Middleboro, was educated in Middleboro public schools and was a graduate of Middleboro High School.
A resident of Norton for the past 40 years, Mr. Turner had been employed for over 40 years as a factory worker for the former Kilburn Glass Co. in the Chartley section of Norton.
George loved things pertaining to trains and also enjoyed collecting train memorabilia.
He was a supporter, and enjoyed attending church functions at the Chartley United Methodist Church in Norton.
He is survived by his devoted daughters Brenda L. Jeager of Russell, MA, Bonnie J. Goodwin of Mansfield and Beverly A. Clark of Kearney, Nebraska. He was the brother of Richard Turner and Barbara Graham both of Ripon, Wisconsin and the late James Turner. Mr. Turner is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday September 4th at 10:00 A.M. at the Nemasket Hill Cemetery, on Plymouth Street, in Middleboro. Burial will follow.
Visiting hours are omitted and arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
