Roy, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton and Port Orange, FL., January 12, 2002, Lillian E. (Fleury) Roy, 80 years. Wife of the late L. Paul Roy. Mother of Paul A. Roy and his wife Beverly of Bridgewater, Dianne M. O’Donnell and her partner Ruth Jacobson of Boston and Robin E. Chamberland and her husband Terry of Great Barrington. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 10am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, W. Bridgewater, at 11am. Private burial at a later date. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8 pm.

Obituary Information

Mrs. Roy died Saturday at the Atrium Nursing Center, Middleboro, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anne (Kearns) Fleury. She was educated in Brockton, and graduated from Brockton High School. She had been an employee of Bradlees Department Store at the Westgate Mall for many years before moving to Great Barrington, MA. She retired to Port Orange Florida for 12 years, and eventually moved back to great Barrington in 1998.

She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, knitting, and was an avid gardener. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family, grand and great grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late L. Paul Roy

She is survived by a son Paul A. Roy of Bridgewater, 2 daughters, Dianne M. O’Donnell of Boston, and Robin E. Chamberland of Great Barrington, MA, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren 4 sisters, Louise Cass and Alice King of Sandwich, MA, Georgianna LaFratta of Monument Beach, MA and Rita Madden of Saranac Lake, NY

She was the sister of the late Albert “Brother” Fleury, Irene Perry and Dorothy Coy
