TEWKSBURY: Mildred M. (Rollo) Clogston, age 80, a resident of Tewksbury for over 50 years, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at her son's home in Pelham, NH.
She was the beloved wife of Ralph W. Clogston, who passed away on March 29, 2000.
Born in Lowell on June 14, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Dawson) Rollo.
Mrs. Clogston was raised in Centralville area of Lowell and attended Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cashier at the Shamrock Liquor Store in Wilmington.
Mrs. Clogston enjoyed reading, dining out at area restaurants with her sisters and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Barbara A. Gleason and her husband Robert of Lowell, Jane E. Heald of Memphis, TN and R. Kenneth Clogston and his wife Darlene of Pelham, NH; one brother, William Rollo, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Dracut; three sisters, Dorothy Vigeant and her husband Maurice of Dracut, Shirley Petersen and her husband Robert of Lowell and Carol Martin of Dracut; also seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clogston was the sister-in-law of the late Robert Martin.
Calling hours Tuesday, Sept. 1st, from 5-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
