Obituary

Edward J. Hogan, 76 years old, husband of the late Ruth A. (Merancy) Hogan, died Wednesday morning at his home in Chelmsford.
Born in Shelton, CT on August 20, 1933, he was a son of the late James and Helen (Cunningham) Hogan and received his education in the Connecticut schools. Mr. Hogan received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Mr. Hogan moved to the Lowell area in the late 1950’s and served in the United States Army Reserve. For many years, he was a Contract Administrator for the Raytheon Corporation in Norwood and Andover. Mr. Hogan was an avid horse racing fan and loved all of Boston’s sport teams. He was a star basketball player while in high school and in college. Both he and his wife were members of the former St Joseph’s Lithuanian Church in Lowell.
Mr. Hogan is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Edward K. Hogan and his wife Therese with whom he made his home with in Chelmsford and David G. Hogan of Amesbury; a daughter, Ellen M. Hogan of Lowell; three grandchildren, Anarose, Emily and Eamon Hogan all of Chelmsford; a brother, William Hogan of Florida; a sister, Margaret Carroll of CT; a sister in law, Jean DuPaul and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hogan was also the brother of the late James, Hugh, John, Thomas Hogan, Helen Keefe, Catherine Spyridakis and Marion Heffernan.
HOGAN- Funeral Services will be private and Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Michael J.
