Therese Laperle, 93, formerly of Woonsocket, died Monday evening at St. Antoine Residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the former wife of the late Andre Laperle.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alzear and Eva (Cote) Perrier. She was a lifelong resident Woonsocket until taking up residence at St. Antoine in 2001.
Mrs. Laperle worked for several mills in the area. She was devoted to her family and delighted in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son Paul Laperle, and his wife Constance, of Uxbridge, a daughter Judy Janelle, and her husband Normand, of Cumberland, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Albert Perrier, Marguerite Aubin, Rachel Belisle, Gabrielle Toupin, Melina Daigle, and Rosa Desplaines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in St. Antoine Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI. 02896. Arrangements are by the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
