Kathy Cooper Robinson Dove, 57, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, formerly of Tifton, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at the Hospice Center of Charleston in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. O. L. Stokes will officiate followed by a private burial. Friends may visit on Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Dove was born on March 24, 1952 in Tift County and was the daughter of Ethel Ruth Prichard Cooper of Tift County and the late Clarence Dewey Cooper. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James A. Robinson. She was a graduate of Tift County schools and attended ABAC. She was a great seamstress, who enjoyed interior decorating and gardening. She was co-manager at Wal-Mart in Goose Creek and manager of other local Wal-Marts and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Tifton.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Dove is survived by her loving husband, Earnest E. Dove of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Tifton; sons and daughters, Patrick Anthony Robinson of Lakeland, Florida, Jamie Antonie Robinson of Summerville, South Carolina, Clayton Anthony Robinson of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Michelle Wiggins of Ashburn, Marissa Howze of Valdosta, James Dove of Tifton and Katy Moore of Adel; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly Wiggins, Justin Wiggins, Kaycee Wiggins, Gavin Wiggins, Savannah Howze, Preston Howze, Lacey Howze, Emma Dove, Jed Dove and Maddox Moore; her sister and loving care-giver, Wanda Gail Hobbs of Mount Airy; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Dewey Cooper and his wife Gayle of Tifton, Randy Clarence Cooper and his wife Carla of Tifton; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Denise Scott of North Carolina, Christopher Cooper of Tifton, Gary Von Hobbs of Hiawassee, Justin Matthew Hobbs of Wilmington, North Carolina, Benjamin Grant Hobbs of Mount Airy and Randa CaraLann Cooper of Tifton; and her Wal-Mart family in Goose Creek, South Carolina, especially Gerald Hendrickson and Genesis Clark.
