Gertrud "Trudy" Lewis, 61, of Derry, NH died Thursday August 27, 2009 at her home. Trudy was born in Lunen, Germany on October 25, 1947. She had resided in Derry since 1969, formerly living in Pirmasens, Germany. Trudy enjoyed caring for children and babysitting for others. She also enjoyed following NASCAR racing with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edward J. Lewis of Derry, two daughters, Sandy Souza of Derry, Heidi Lewis of Manchester, NH, her granddaughter, Shelly Baker of Derry, her brother, Klaus Hnida of Frankfurt, Germany, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2009 from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
