Nell L. Kendrick Daniel, 94, of Tifton died Friday, August 28, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Shelton Michael and Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate with a eulogy to be given by Wade Clark. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Coy Tawzer, David Clements, Lee Hill, Ray Henderson, Roger Walker, Jr., and Clift Dominque will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Daniel was born on July 25, 1915 in Irwin County and was the daughter of Robert Land and Kate Paulk Land, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Girley Kendrick, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church.
Ms. Daniel is survived by one son, Harvey Girley Kendrick, Jr. of Tifton, two daughters, Lutrell Gann of Tifton and Mary Alice Ivey Townsend of Valdosta; one sister, Gertrude Graham of Tifton; eight grandchildren, Maryann Zeigler, Jerry Eugene Ivey, Karla Kendrick, Keith Kendrick, Kyle Kendrick, Kerrie Kendrick, Gena Green and Genger Stone; eleven great grandchildren, Wendy Ivey, Justin John Zeigler, Katherine Kendrick, Stephen Kendrick, Grant Hall, Grace Hall, Gretchen Kendrick, Wade Green, Glyn Green, Beau Stone and Brady Stone; and two great great grandchildren, Austin Ivey and Alexia Ivey.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church.
