Worcester- Mary Ellen Hunt, 52, passed away following a brief illness on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in Autumn Village surrounded by her loving family. She leaves 2 daughters, Kailien M. Hunt and Kristina Hunt, both of Worcester; her mother, Jane R. Hunt; 3 brothers James F. and his wife Bonnie Hunt of Boylston, Thomas M. and his wife Deborah of Worcester, and Kevin E. and his wife Carrie of Worcester; 2 sisters, Susan M. and her husband Steven Johnson of Pasco, WA, and Kathleen J. and her husband James Dunn of Lowell. Mary Ellen also leaves her beloved grandson Norman Jr., her sister-in-law, Beth Hunt of Worcester; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, the late Thomas F. Hunt Jr. who passed away in 1991, and a brother Daniel R. Hunt.
Mary Ellen was born in Worcester on July 30, 1957, daughter of Jane R. (McPartland) and Thomas F. Hunt, Jr. She graduated from North High School and Quinsigamond Community College. She worked in the cafeteria at Vernon Hill Elementary School and was a very hard worker.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Friday, August 28, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel with a 9:00 a.m. Mass at St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
