SPENCER; Sophie J. (Witowski) LaForce, 82, of Charlton Rd., died Thursday, August 27 at Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield.
She was the wife of Joseph L. LaForce who died in 1985.
She leaves a brother, Stanley Witowski and his wife Ola of Dover, Ohio, a daughter-in-law and care giver, Joan LaForce of Spencer, 10 grandchildren, including Jennifer Leclerc and her husband Michael of Stratham, N.H., 5 step-children and her close friends, Betty and Jack Carlson of Holden and Amy Shimkus of Centreville, VA.
She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Raymond and Thaddeus Witowski, two sisters Cecilia Kluccnik and Genevieve Ryngiewicz and a granddaughter Jessica LaForce.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Adolf & Frances (Bialdyga) Witowski.
Mrs. LaForce worked as a machinist at the former United States Envelope Co., in Worcester.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and doing crossword puzzles.
The Funeral will be held Saturday, August 29 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Visitation will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:15 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Philips Cemetery, Grafton.
