Carlson, and David A. Carlson all of West Roxbury. Dear son of Frances Carlson of Westwood and the late Richard Henry Carlson. Devoted brother of Eugene W. Carlson and his wife Tammy of Londonderry, NH, Michael T. Carlson and his wife Elizabeth of Uxbridge, and the late David A. Carlson. Dear uncle of Erin and Lilly Carlson and Matthew and Thomas Carlson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church on Saturday August 29, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Former Director of Valuation Division, for the City of Boston’s Assessing Department. Employed by the City of Boston for over 20 years. Richard was awarded the Henry L. Shattuck Award which is bestowed upon those who have demonstrated their sense of duty and concern for their fellow citizens with no expectation of glory. Richard was also the recipient of the International Association of Assessing Officers Donehoo Essay Award. He was a member of the United States Årmy. A former Cub Scout Leader of Troop 3 of West Roxbury and a member of The Elks Lodge 10 West Roxbury. Richard was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing with his boys.
