Obituary

Adrien W. Lamarque, 92, of Pascoag, formerly of Woonsocket, died Monday at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Paquin) Lamarque who died in 1987.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Noellie (Dancereau) Lamarque. He was a lifelong resident of the city and resided at the Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag for the past 14 years.
Mr. Lamarque served in the U.S. Army Air Corps (Air Force) in the Pacific Theater during WWII, and was discharged with the rank of Staff Sgt.
Mr. Lamarque was employed by Draper Corp. in Hopedale for over 35 years before retiring.
Adrien was a member of the Millerville Men’s Club, Club Par-X, and a life member of AMVETS in Woonsocket. He was an avid cribbage player and his support and enthusiasm for the Red Sox never waivered during the course of his lifetime.
He is survived by two sons, Robert A. Lamarque, and his wife Polly, of Pascoag and Paul Menard, and his companion Michael Nastari, of Providence, and three grandchildren, David and Liza Menard, and Danielle Lamarque. He was the brother of the late Reynauld Lamarque, Alice Lachappelle, and Therese Bibeault.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 am prior to Mass in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
