Obituary

NO.BROOKFIELD: Jay R. Buckmaster,56 of 43 Common St., died suddenly, Sunday, August 23 in Bay State Mary Lane Hospital, Ware after being stricken ill at his home.

He leaves his daughter Jodie R. Buckmaster of No.Brookfield, a brother Jon Buckmaster and his wife Judy of Leominster, a sister Linda Dagley-Duval of Spencer, a granddaughter McKayla Hoel of No.Brookfield, step daughters Melissa Gadbois of Oakham and Dawn LeClair of Millbury and their children Matthew, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Marky, Madison and Zachary, nieces and nephews and especially his cat “Moe”.

Jay was an automotive mechanic for Parson’s Auto, Inc. in E.Brookfield for over 30 years. He was a “NAISE” certified mechanic.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of George R. and Lorraine Y. (O’Coin) Buckmaster and has lived here for the past 24 years. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer, Class of 1971. He was an avid “oil lamp” collector and enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 11:30 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug. 25 from 4 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, Young Rd., E.Brookfield, Ma.01515.
