John Randall Brice, 61, Clarksville, died Monday, August 24, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville. TN. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Syria Christian Church Cemetery, Orleans, IN on Thursday at 1 pm eastern time. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born October 27, 1947 in Surgoinsville, TN son of Albert Brice and Mildred Bean Brice. He was preceded in death by his father. John was a retired attorney with the law firm of Batson, Nolan, Brice, Williamson, and Girsky. He was a veteran of the US Marines. Survivors include his mother of Orleans, Indiana; daughters, Crissa Randolph, Decatur, AL; and Angela Smith, Adams, TN; brothers, Jim Brice, Ft. Worth, TX; Dan Brice, Louisville, KY; and Don Brice, Bloomington, IN; and three grandchildren, Grant and Evan Randolph and Cole Smith. Pallbearers will be Curtis Johnson, Landon Brake, Ron Shelton, Tom Ragsdale, Larry Watson and Craig Holiday. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Marine Corp Reserves.
