Evelyn S. (Suba) Shea, 90, of Stoughton, died peacefully at West Acres Nursing Home on Friday, August 21. She was the wife of the late John J. Shea. Born and educated in Somerville, she was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. During WWII Mrs. Shea was a member of the Women’s Air Corp.. Mrs. Shea was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Shea was survived by her five children : John J. Shea of Afghanistan, Joanna Cook of Fayatteville, Ark., Mary Ellen Miles of Sarasota, FL, Kathy Yetman of Duxbury and Thomas E. Shea of Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her son Robert C. Shea. Mrs. Shea was also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. She leaves a brother John Suba of Bridgewater and was preceded in death by her brother Teddy Suba.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 25 from 9-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30AM. Burial will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery.
