Paul T. Metcalf, 91, of Salem, NH died Fri Aug. 21st at the Veterans Hospital in Manchester, NH.
Paul was born in Medford, MA the son of the late Florence (Streeter) and Charles Metcalf and he had lived in Salem for 25 years. He served in the US Army during WW II, first in the Yankee Division, then in the 101st Infantry. Paul served in France and Germany and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He retired from Mancini Sheet Metal in Billerica, MA.
Paul was a member and Past Commander of VFW #8546 of Salem, a Past District 7 Commander for NH, a member of the VFW Cooties, Pup Tent #12 MOC and a member of the DAV of Salem, NH.
He was predeceased by is wife Theda (MacAdams) Metcalf, his son Paul T. Metcalf, II and his sisters Elsie Billings and Barbara Howe.

Calling Hours will be Mon. Aug. 24th from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Tues. at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Colonial Veterans Cemetery in the Salem Center.
