James M. Gregory, Sr. 82, of Summerville, widower of Angelina Marie Gregory died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Summerville Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:00 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 9:00 until the hour of service on Monday.

Mr. Gregory was born May 16, 1927 in Hanging Dog, North Carolina, son of the late Russell and Lory Hardin Gregory. He was a graduate of Andrews High School, Andrews, North Carolina. He attended Rice Business College and Trident Technical College. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans-Chapter 17, Ladson VFW Post #3433, American Legion and the Air Force Sergeants Association. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the World War II and retired as Staff Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He was a member of Summerville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are: grandchildren: Miriam Thompkins, Abigail and Avery Torres, Diana, Sandra and Matthew Gregory, 1 son: David W. Gregory of Chicago, Illinois, 3 sisters: Louise, Stella and Belle. He was predeceased by his wife and son: James M. Gregory, Jr.
