Obituary

Worcester-Henry F "Hank" Sendrowski 84 of 53 Seymour Street died August 6th in his home.

Mr. Sendrowski is survived by a brother, Chester J Sendrowski of Holden and a sister, Jane Samko of Worcester. And his longtime companion Margaret Golas of Millbury. Another brother Edmund G Sendrowski of Dudley predeceased him.He was born in Webster a son of Stanley and Alice (Harubin) Sendrowski and lived most of his life in Worcester. He was educated in Worcester Schools, and during World War II served with the U.S. Army. He saw action on Guadalcanal while serving with the Americal Division. Mr. Sendrowski was also a recipient of two Bronze Star Medals for valor. He later served with the Fort Benning Military Police Detachment, and was one of ten hand picked members of the military honor guard who placed the casket of President Roosevelt into the Pulman Car of a special funeral train at Warm Springs Georgia.

Mr. Sendrowski retired in 1981 following twenty years of employment as a Wire Drawer at New England High Carbon Co. in Millbury.

Mr. Sendrowski was a member of South Works Post V.F.W. and Quinsigamond Post 318 American Legion. He was an avid bowler in years past.
