James E. Morris, 71, of Memphis, TN, died Monday, August 17 at River Willows Nursing Home in Abbeville.
Memorial Services will be announced later.
Mr. Morris was born March 15, 1938 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to the late Edward and Golda Sherrell Morris. He lived in Abbeville for the past three years from Memphis, TN. Mr. Morris was a former resident of New Orleans, LA, Muscle Shoals, AL and Albany, GA. He was a crop duster and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Morris is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy & Dennis Walker of Abbeville, Anetia Carol & Brian Roberts of Sylvester and B.J. & Randy Conley of Cordele; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister: Peggy Dalton of Butte, Montana. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife: Barbara Sue Harrison Morris.
