Kenneth P. “Ken” Latimer, 81, of Tallahassee, Florida, (Formerly of Fitzgerald) died August 13, 2009 in Tallahassee.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 22 at Lafayette Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, Florida with Rev. John Lowns officiating.
Mr. Latimer was born June 5, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to the late Jarrel and Gertrude Henson Latimer. He was a 1946 graduate of W.H. Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas and a 1951 graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. Mr. Latimer was retired from the Public Health Program at the Center For Disease Control in Atlanta. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Latimer was a giving person, even in death he donated his body to medical science.
Mr. Latimer is survived by his wife: Georgia Lee Fountain Latimer of Tallahassee, FL; sons and daughters-in-law: David P. Latimer of Atlanta, John Miles & Dana Latimer and Richard J. “Jerry” & Cheryl Latimer, all of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren: Shelby P. Latimer, Jordan Kenneth Latimer and Charlie S. Latimer, Joey Moore, Chris Clements, Peyton Latimer and Silas Latimer.
