Obituary

Grace E. (Greenough) Harding, 84, of Rochester died Sunday August 16, 2009 at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Harding; they were married for 51 years.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah (Lyons) Greenough, she lived in Rochester for most of her life.

Mrs. Harding and her late husband owned and operated the Snipatuit Kennels for 42 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lee Valley and her husband David of Virginia; three sons, Harrison A. Harding and his wife Kathleen of Rochester, Richard C. Harding and his wife Stephanie of Marion, and Harold R. "Bud" Harding of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late D. Cameron Valley and sister of the late Joan Miller and Doris Parker.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 21, 2009 at 10 AM at the First Congregational Church of Rochester. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial private.
