Obituary

WORCESTER-Madeline (Zogas) Dalambakis, 84, of Worcester, died Sunday, August 16th in UMass-Memorial Medical Center. Her husband, Nicholas Dalambakis, died in 1988. She leaves a son, George N. Dalambakis of Worcester; a son-in-law, Paul J. Westerlind of Paxton; three grandchildren, Daniel Westerlind and his wife Lisa of Paxton, Brian Westerlind and his wife Amy of Ashland, and Kerrin Westerlind of Worcester; and two great grandchildren, Brady and Dylan Westerlind of Paxton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tia Westerlind in 2007, and two brothers, Thomas and Nicholas Zogas.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Peter and Antonia (Danikas) Zogas and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Mrs. Dalambakis was a clerk at Filene’s for many years. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and volunteered for many years at the polls for the City of Worcester.

The funeral is Friday, August 21st, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, August 20th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
