Noreen F. Christiansen, 61, passed away at home in Medford on August 16th, 2009. She was born in Cambridge on May 17th, 1948 to her parents Jeremiah and Margaret Corkery. Noreen was raised and educated in Cambridge. She has been a resident of Medford for the past sixteen years. For many years, she worked as a retail sales clerk at Kohl’s Department Store in Medford. Noreen also owned and operated a Day Care Facility at her home in Cambridge for many years. She is survived by her husband, Steven W. Christiansen of Medford; by her children, Edward S. Barry of Cambridge, Cheryl Barry and her husband Gary of South Carolina, Kelly Christiansen of Medford and Steven W. Christiansen Jr. of Medford; by her grandchildren Kasey, Nicholas, Krystal, Korey, Scott and Jake Steven; and by her siblings, Margaret McGee of Melrose and Michael Corkery of Dunstable. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday Aug. 19th at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday August 18th from 6-8 PM.
