Clara G. Ducas
Londonderry-Clare G. Ducas, 102, died peacefully August 14, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manchester on March 2, 1907 the daughter of Alexandre and Eugenie (Hamel) Guay and had lived most of her life in Manchester.
She attended St. George High School for Girls. She held membership in the St. Anne Sodality of St. Anthony Parish, She was a volunteer at Catholic Medical Center for over 20 years and also volunteered in the hospital gift shop. She received many awards for her years of service. She enjoyed giving handmade afghans to numerous family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Albani Ducas in 1965.
IN HER LIFE:Members of her family include 2 sons, Norman Ducas and his wife Diane of Londonderry, Eugene Ducas and his wife Lorraine of Manchester, five grandchildren, Peter Ducas, Maria Grzyb, Dominique Ducas, James Ducas, Joanne Ducas, 2 greatgrandchildren, Andrew Grzyb and James Ducas. She was predeceased by her twin sister Laura Vallee and sister Therese Soucy, one brother Leo Guay, several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, 33 S. Commercial St, Manchester NH 03104 or to St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St. Manchester NH 03103.
