Susan A. Hughes, 50, of Franklin, died, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the loving mother of Jessica Statkiewicz of Uxbridge and Samantha Velluti of Chicopee.
Born in Boston on January 21, 1959, she was a daughter of John and Rita (Gaffney) Hughes of Franklin.
Mrs. Hughes was a resident of Franklin since 1974 and graduated from Franklin High School in 1976. She grew up in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston.
She earned an Associate’s Degree from Dean College and recently earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Suffolk Business School.
Besides her daughters and parents, she is survived by two grandchildren, Austin and Mason and her siblings, Dave, Paul, Joe and Pamela Hughes, all of Franklin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Church Square in Franklin on Thursday, August 20 at 10 a.m.
A memorial reception will be held following the Mass at the Am Vet Lodge in Millis.
