LEROY, PATRICK STEPHEN, 14, of Louisville, returned to live with his God, Thursday, August 13, 2009 comfortably at home.
He was a loved son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend to many. He taught all of us much about life, love and happiness. The lives he touched during his short time with us are immeasurable. No matter what life threw his way, he approached it with a smile and positive attitude - and seeing this taught us all to live differently as well. He had his way of connecting with people, and making people love him without even trying. He was never judged, and always accepted by all of his classmates and friends. Patrick was very strong in his faith, and trusted that God would always stay by his side and take care of him throughout everything. Patrick was a mixture of many wonderful things, but most of all, he's somebody's hero.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry LeRoy; great-grandfather, Edward Stevens; great-grandmother, Bertilla Everly; great-grandparents, James and Viola LeRoy; and great-grandparents, Rolla Wilbur and Juanita Hoehn.
He leaves his happiness, memory and love with his parents, Steve and Robyne LeRoy; his sister, Katelyn; and brother, Seth. He also leaves behind grandparents, Bruce and Sharlie Hoehn, of Glasgow, KY., Edana LeRoy, of Bowling Green, KY, Maria and Vidal Gonzalez, of Fort Worth, TX., Placido and Susie Maldonado, of Alvarado, TX., and Betty Stevens, of Louisville; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Mary Queen of Peace, 4005 Dixie Highway. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Muscular Dystrophy or Make A Wish Foundation.
