WEBSTER - Virginia C. (Paige) DeForest, 88, formerly of Golden Heights, died Thursday, August 13, in Lanessa Extended Care Facility. Her husband, William E. DeForest, Jr., died in 1971.
She leaves 2 brothers, Allen F. Paige of Worcester and Fred H. Paige of Auburn; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanne Zuidema of Linwood in 1980.
She was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of Fred and Loda (Lebeau) Paige. She lived in Webster most of her life. She graduated from Ascension High School in Worcester.
Mrs. DeForest was a purchasing agent for Reed and Prince Company in Worcester before retiring. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed camping on Cape Cod, bowling and playing bingo.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lanessa for their excellent care and concern for Virginia for over 5 years.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 18, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 8:45 to 9:30 AM Tuesday, August 18, in the funeral home.
