John A. Rocci, 78, of Twin Brook Dr., Derry died Thursday August 7, 2003 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a brief illness. Mr. Rocci was born in Medford, MA, on December 22, 1924 a son of the late Noe and Louisa (Defronzo) Rocci. He had moved to Derry in December of 2002 having lived in Clearwater, FL for 16 years. He had previously lived in Malden and Medford, MA. He had been employed for 35 years as a sales manager for Steadfast and Roulston in Boston, MA. He was an avid collector of sports cards and memorabilia. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his three daughters, Gail L. McMillan and her husband Philip of Derry, Cheryl Ann Willis of Malden, MA, Joanne E. Alberigi and her husband Robert of Everett, MA, three grandchildren, Bryan McMillan and Michael McMillan both of Derry, Jared Willis of Malden, MA, his brother, Marco Rocci of Florida, two sisters, Eva Cieri of Nahant, MA, Adeline Garafano of Florida, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 9th at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Avenue, Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is handling the arrangements.
