Nidia Guerrero, 92, of Dartmouth died Thursday August 13, 2009 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the daughter of the late Jose Guerrero and Amalia Matos Guerrero, she lived in New York before moving to New Bedford 22 years ago.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
Ms. Guerrero was formerly employed as a seamstress in the Garment Center in New York City for many years until retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeannette Solla of Astoria, NY; a sister, Carmen Y. Guerrero of New Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-6 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
