
WORCESTER-Charles H. Farnum, 85, of 4 Cabot Street died August 4th in University of Massachusetts Healthcare-Memorial Campus after a short illness. His sister, Margaret Farnum predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Earl W. and Margaret (Davis) Farnum graduating from South High School in 1936 and attended Worcester Teachers College in the first class for males. Mr. Farnum entered the navy after college and served as a navigator in the South Pacific, a veteran of WWII. He was employed in the plumbing and heating business as an outside salesman for American Plumbing for many years until retirement and enjoyed traveling to his condo in Maine with his sister.
Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc., 44 Front Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, 01608. O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue is directing the arrangements.
