Diane MacPherson Therrien, 16, of Derry, NH, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Colchester County, Nova Scotia, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. “Di Di” was born in Derry on July 13, 1993, a daughter of Michael Therrien and Mary "Chrissy" MacPherson, and was a lifelong resident of Derry. She was a student at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 2011. “Di Di” loved to read, go shopping and listen to music. She was also a volunteer at the Massabesic Audubon Society in Auburn.
In addition to her parents of Derry; she is survived by her sister, Jennifer L. Therrien of Derry; her maternal grandparents, Donald A. & Diane MacPherson of Londonderry, NH; her paternal grandmother, Ann Therrien of Derry; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins, including her uncles Andrew Therien and Donald “Uncle Mac” MacPherson both of Londonderry. She was predeceased by her grandfather Alcide Therrien, her great grandparents, Flora & Donald J. MacPherson, Margaret & Richard Tompkins, and her uncle Alan Therien.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, August 15th from 3 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 7:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massabesic Audubon Center, 26 Audubon Way, Auburn, NH 03032 or to the charity of one’s choice.
