Leo E. Desmarais, age 73, of Fall River, passed away August 12, 2009. Husband of Doris T. (Ratté) Desmarais and son of the late Emile F. and Florilda (Banville) Desmarais. He was a member of Notre Dame Church and was a retired Storage Clerk & Mechanic for the City of Fall River Water Dept. for 16 years; previously, he worked at Frito Lay for 12 years.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by son: Brian L. Desmarais and his wife Zita of Taunton; brothers: Edward Desmarais of FL, Raymond, Donald & Roger Desmarais all of Fall River; granddaughter Brianna and several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Lorraine, George & Daniel Desmarais.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME; 1521 N. Main St. TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Notre Dame Church at 9:00 A.M. Calling hours MONDAY 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
