Paxton
John M. Sheary 71, of 18 Forestdale Rd. died Wednesday (Aug.6), at UMASS Memorial Medical Center-Belmont St. Campus, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Jean T. (Meloche) Sheary; a son; Kevin M. Sheary of Melrose; a daughter, Kathleen T. Hernjak of Camp Hill, PA; twins, Brian V. Sheary of Paxton; and Nancy E. Thibault of Spencer and a brother, Martin V. Sheary of Newport, NH.; 11 grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of John F. and Mildred T. (Farrell) Sheary. He graduated from South High School and attended Boston University.He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for New England Telephone Company for 33 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Columba Church, Pioneers of America and an avid fisherman and College Football Fan.
A Funeral will be Saturday (Aug.9), from Fay Brothers Funeral Homes 9 Hammond St. (www.fayborthrs.com) Worcester, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Columba Church 18 Richards Ave. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling Hours are Friday, (Aug .8) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
