Obituary

Ann S. (Sennott) McCarthy of Andover and beloved wife of more than 55 years of Timothy “Ted” McCarthy, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on Monday, August 10, 2009. She was 76 years old.
Born in Cambridge, on July 12, 1933, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frederick J. and Mary Frances (McNiff) Sennott. Ann was employed for more than twenty years by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Unemployment as a Claims Clerk. She was an avid baker and cake decorator and loved to garden around her home.
In addition to her beloved husband, Ted, Ann will be sorely missed by one son and daughter-in-law; Timothy E. and his wife Mary McCarthy of Hampton, New Hampshire, one grandson; Timothy P. McCarthy of Hampton, New Hampshire, one granddaughter Meera Ann McCarthy of Hampton, New Hampshire, two sisters; Eileen Preskenis of Belfast, Maine and Carina Logue of North Andover, two brothers; Frederick Sennott of Arlington and Frank Sennott of Buckfield, Maine and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary S. Fraser, Edward Sennott, Catherine O’Keefe and John M. Sennott.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Friday, August 14, 2009, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Calling hours were held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
