Rickey F. Mauldin, 42, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, August 13 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Charlotte Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Rickey was born March 17, 1967, in College Park, Georgia, to William F. Mauldin and the late Shirley Jean Howard Mauldin. He lived in Fitzgerald since 1987 and was a former resident of Atlanta, East Point and Forsyth, where he graduated from Mary Persons High School. Rickey was a roofer and a member of the Holiness Baptist faith.
He is survived by his father: William Fred “Bill” Mauldin of Fitzgerald; brothers: William Fred Mauldin, Jr. of McDonough and Billy Lee Mauldin of Brooks; stepsisters: Pam Martin of Carrollton, Julia McIntyre of Atlanta and Jeana McIntyre as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Mauldin.
