Obituary

Beloved father, brother, husband, and friend Stephen “Steve” Dobson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60 on Thursday, August 6th 2009, at his home while caring for his wife.
Stephen was born in London, England. He spent several years traveling the world working with Disney on Parade, through which he met and married his first wife, Christine Carlson. They were married and moved to her hometown of Worcester, MA during the “Blizzard of ‘78” and had two children, Matthew and Jeremy.
Stephen became a proud US Citizen in 1988. He worked as an industrial mechanic for Norton Company, Astra Pharmaceuticals, and, most recently, Clariant Corporation in Holden, MA. He married his longtime companion and friend Christine Card in 2004. They moved to a house on Indian Lake where Steve, an avid kayaker, fisherman, and outdoorsman spent many hours on the water. Steve was also a mason—a member, and past Master of Morning Star Lodge in Worcester.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Christine Card Dobson; two sons, Matthew and Jeremy Dobson and his wife Rebecca; his mother, Laura Dobson; six sisters, Lesley Stuart, Sally Schofield , Lynne Little, Jillian Henderson, Hilary Overett, Jennifer Hansen; and his stepson, Anthony Gazzaniga. Stephen was predeceased by his father, Walter G. Dobson.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, on Thursday, August 13th, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Spectrum Health Systems where Stephen earned 4 wonderful years of sobriety before he passed. Please mail donations to Spectrum Health Systems, PO Box 1208, Westboro MA, 01581, Attention Mark Anderson.
We love you dad.
