Simone A. (Durand) Morris, age 91, died Friday evening, Aug. 7, 2009 at Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, NH. She was the wife of the late John Morris.
Born in Quebec, Canada February 8, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Leandre and Delia (Beaulieu) Durand.
Mrs. Morris resided in Nashua but spent most of her life in Lowell's Pawtucketville section of the city. She was a former communicant of the Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church.
Prior to her retirement she was employed with Lowell Lingerie for 5 years.
She is survived by one sister, Rita Proulx of Tewksbury; one brother, Lucien Durand of Nashua, N.H., and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Lorienne Durand, Mary Jane Durand, Theresa Frechette, Roland Durand, Jean Paul Durand and Roger Durand, Leo Durand, and a sister in law to the late Claire Durand.
There will be no calling hours. Committal prayers will be offered at St. Joseph's Cemetery Chapel in Chelmsford on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment to follow.
