Obituary

Mrs. Ann E. (Kingsbury) Dooley, of Taunton, died Friday, August 7, in the
Golden Living Center-Wedgemere, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of
Edward M. Dooley. She was born 70 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late
Cutler and Marion (Wheeler) Kingsbury. She was educated in Taunton, having
graduated from Taunton High School, and was also a graduate of the Cape Cod Hos-
pital School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an L.P.N.
at the Paul A. Dever State School for 20 years. Mrs. Dooley had previously been em-
ployed in the Operating Room at Morton Hospital for several years. She was a U.S.
Army veteran, serving as a nurse with the First Army Division, Womens Army Corps during the Vietnam War. She was a member of the King David Lodge A.F. & A.M.,
Post # 1840, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Norton, Ma., and the Taunton Lions Club,
where she served as the first female President. She was also active in the Taunton
Girls Club and enjoyed volunteering at her church, needlework and playing cribbage. She attended the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves:
1 son: Eric Dooley of San Francisco, Calif.
1 brother: Mason Kingsbury, and his wife, Carolyn, of Florida
A nephew: Lance Kingsbury, and his wife Rose, of Westerly, R.I.
several other nieces and nephews
Her Funeral Service will be held at the Pilgrim Congregation Church, Broadway,
Taunton, on Tuesday, August 11 at 11:00A.M. Interment will follow in the V.A.
National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting
Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday,
August 10, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be
made to the Taunton Lions Club, 4 No.Walker St., Taunton, Ma., 02780 or to the Taun-
ton Boys & Girls Club, 31 Court St., Taunton, Ma., 02780.
