Obituary

William E. Lynch, 84 years old, died Thursday at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was the husband of Joanne B. (Duffy) (Gray) Lynch and was a longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell before recently moving to Hooksett, New Hampshire.
Born in Winthrop, MA on October 26, 1924, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Mary E. (Hoar) Lynch. Mr. Lynch was educated in the Winthrop schools graduating from Winthrop High School in 1942. He attended Holy Angels College in Buffalo, NY, the Oblate House of Philosophy in Newburgh, NY and the Oblate College in Washington, DC.
Mr. Lynch was employed as a Data Manager for the Raytheon Corporation for several years. He was a member of St. Robert Bellermine Parish in West Andover, where he taught C.C.D. classes for several years and was a member of the adult choir.
In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by a son, William E. Lynch Jr.; a step daughter, Elizabeth Gray; step sons, Richard Gray and his wife Karen of Lowell, Gerald Gray and his wife Michelle of Concord, NH, Kevin Gray and his wife Deborah of Stratham, NH, David Gray and his wife Carole of Lowell; nine grandchildren, Nicole, R.J., Elizabeth, Kevin, Sarah, Connor, Jack, Ciara and Sean; a brother, John H. Lynch of Woburn; a sister Mary Ellen Pierce of Middleton and many nieces and nephews.
LYNCH- Relatives and friends may call on Monday, Aug. 10 from 4 until 8 pm at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. (Rte.38) LOWELL. His Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 11 am at St Robert Bellermine Parish, West Andover followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury. Should friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to either, Bread and Roses, 58 Newbury St. Lawrence, MA 01840 or The Oblates of Mary Immaculate Infirmary, 486 Chandler St. Tewksbury, MA 01876. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LOWELL.
