Obituary

FRANKLIN—Philip L. Henault 42, of Franklin, died peacefully, at home on Thursday August 6, surrounded by his wife, two children and many, many family members and friends after a 5 year battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). He was the beloved husband of Rose (Caneja) Henault.
Born July 30, 1967 in Milford, a son of Josephine (Purpura) Henault, he was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Educated in Franklin schools and a 1985 graduate of Franklin High School he was the owner and operator of the former Tabarini Construction Company in Franklin until 1997. Until his illness forced him to stop working in April of 2006 he was working for A.H. Harris & Sons in Medfield as an inside sales manager where he loved his job and everybody he worked with.
Philip fought the disease courageously, and when you saw him he was always smiling and will be remembered for his big heart. He was a devoted family man, who loved being with his boys spending time with them out in the yard. He was passionate about the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.
He enjoyed playing the drums and tending to his vegetable garden and also took great pride in driving his red corvette.
He was a member of the Eastern Mass Corvette Club and St. Mary’s Church, Franklin.
In addition to his wife of 17 years and his mother, he is survived by two sons Philip D. Henault and Nicholas J. Henault both of Franklin, a brother David L. Henault of Franklin, two sisters Cheryl A. Watson of Missouri and Carla M. Parsons of Franklin. Also surviving are 11 nieces and nephews, 3 goddaughters, many brother and sister in laws and many special friends.
Phil will truly be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday Aug.10th at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin, at 9AM.
Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Mary’s Cemetery
Calling hours are Sunday Aug. 9th from 3-7PM.
