Obituary

FRANKLIN--- Retired Lieutenant Colonel Earl B. Pulver, US Army, 82, of Franklin, died Sunday August 2, 2009 at the Milford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the former husband of Helene (Wedrak) Pulver of Florida.
Born in Canajohorie, New York on June 16, 1927 a son of the late Dewey and Alphena (Snyder) Pulver, he had been a resident of Sudbury for many years, before moving to Franklin in 1975.
He was raised and educated in New York, where he received his Masters degree in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University.
A career serviceman in the United States Army, he was stationed abroad in the Pacific and Korea as a Company Commander and a Deputy District Engineer for the Army Corps.Of Engineers. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, the outdoors, hunting and architecture.
He is survived by his children Scott C. Pulver of Florida and Bonnie J. Pulver of Franklin and a brother Malcolm D. Pulver of New York. He is also survived by his grandson Matthew C. Pulver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday August 10th, from 6-8PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin (www.franklinfuneral.com).
Funeral services and interment will be private.
