Alice Rudine Merritt, 80, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, August 5, at Tift Health care in Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, at Osierfield Cemetery, with Rev. David Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Merritt was born October 5, 1928, in Ben Hill County, to the late Archie L. and Eva Berryhill Merritt. She lived in Fitzgerald all of her life and was a former employee of H.R. Kaminsky & Sons. Mrs. Merritt was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Randy G. & Barbara Merritt of Fitzgerald; brothers and sister-in-law: Marvin & Glynell Merritt of Fitzgerald and Larry Merritt of Houston, TX; sisters and brother-in-law: Martha & Leonard Merritt of St. Simons Island and Laquita Joyner of Pelzer, SC; special friends: Dora Akins and Tracy White as well as several nieces and nephews.
