DANVERS: Vitina T. “Tina” (Scola) Beyer, 61, of 34 Ash Street, died Tuesday morning, August 4, 2009 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers following an extended illness.
Born in Gloucester on March 19, 1948, she was the daughter of Anna F. (Quince) Scola of Gloucester and the late Joseph J. Scola. She was a graduate of the St. Ann’s High School class of 1965.
A licensed insurance agent for over thirty years, she was employed at various agencies on the North Shore. Tina enjoyed watching the Red Sox and N.E. Patriots. In November of 2007, she traveled to Ireland with her daughter, Annemarie. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Annemarie and David Beauparlant, Sr. of Gloucester and Karen Hathaway of Beverly, six grandchildren, Private Christopher Wheeler, U.S. Army, David Beauparlant, Jr., Joshua Beyer, Hannah Beauparlant, Jaime Hathaway and Emma Hathaway, three sisters, Ann Marie Bertone of FL, Carolyn Booth of Danvers, Ida, wife of David Lloyd of Gloucester, nieces and nephews, Robert Bertone, Jr., Keith Bertone, Joelle Booth, Brian Lloyd and Bethany Lloyd. She was also predeceased by her former husband, Clarence E. Beyer.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the family c/o Annemarie Beauparlant, 7 Arthur St., #5, Gloucester, MA 01930. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery.
