Don A. Dale, 62, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, August 3, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Camp officiating. Interment will follow in Abba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Dale was born May 24, 1947 in Coffee County, to the late George E. and Louise Dale. He lived in Fitzgerald for most of his life, graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1967. Mr. Dale was a former employee of Litts Department Store, Allen’s Supermarket, Coffee Chrysler and Coachmen Industries. He was a former member of the Fitzgerald Jaycee’s, a member of the Ocilla Country Club and an avid golfer.
Mr. Dale is survived by his wife: Anne Dale of Fitzgerald; daughter and son-in-law: Angie M. & Jerry Greeson of Tifton; grandsons: Zach and Nick Greeson of Tifton; Brothers: Elmer Dale & Earl Dale, both of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
