WORCESTER__Blanche Katherine (Valanciux) Grudzinski, 91, of Christopher House, formerly of 59 East Mountain St, died Saturday, August 1, 2009. Her husband, William Joseph Grudzinski, Sr., whom she married in 1941 died on March 9, 1993. She leaves a son, William J. Grudzinski, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Washington, IL; a daughter, Regina Grudzinski of Worcester; two grandchildren, William P. Grudzinski and his wife, Michele and Mari Lurtz and her husband, Shannon; five great-grandchildren, Aden and Ean Grudzinski and Hanna, Michael and Kathrine Lurtz; a brother, Anthony Smolskis of Shrewsbury and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grudzinski was born April 4, 1918, a daughter of Vincent John and Mary Kathrine (Urches) Valanciux. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School as a Geriatric Nurses Aide and worked in local nursing homes. She also worked as a press operator at Parker Wire Mfg. She was a member of St. Christopher Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday, August 7, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
