Keith Allen Schubert, 68, died Monday August 3, 2009 at the Derry Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Derry. Keith was born in Kewanee, IL to the late Laddie and Betty (Huber) Schubert. He worked as a horseman his entire life and most recently had worked as the Stall Supervisor at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH. Mr. Schubert truly loved horses and everything about the farm life.
He is survived by his children, Keith Allen Schubert II of Quincy, MA, Karly West of Barnstead, NH and Kurt VanDale of Kewanee, IL. Keith also leaves his siblings, Tom E. Schwigen of Chester, NH, Ray Schwigen of Biggsville, IL, Donna Schelfaut of North Chicago, IL, and two grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Ian West.
The services for Mr. Schubert will be held at the convenience of the family and at a later date. Donations in memory of Keith may be directed to the Permanently Disabled Jockey’s Fund, C/O NTRA, 2525 Harrodsburg Rd. Suite 400, Lexington, KY, 40504. The Peabody Funeral Home of Derry is assisting the family with arrangements for Mr. Schubert.
